About the Role

This is a newly created position reporting to the Supply Chain Director. The procurement role has been created due to significant growth within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compiling and sending out requests for quotations (RFQs) for products within the manufacturing portfolio to support timely purchase order placement.
  • Raising purchase orders based on project demand, ensuring alignment with supplier quotes and procurement requirements.
  • Regularly expediting open orders and exploring opportunities to accelerate delivery, meeting manufacturing schedules.
  • Managing open orders for critical items from placement through delivery.
  • Evaluating quotations to ensure they meet requirements and align with budgets.
  • Reviewing technical specifications and drawings.

About the Individual

  • Previous procurement experience in the engineering or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage and maintain supplier relationships.

  • Certified in Procurement and Supply (CIPS) qualifications are advantageous.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Able to work to strict deadlines while maintaining quality.
  • Experience reviewing technical specifications and drawings to understand material requirements.
