Job Title: Support Companion

We are seeking a caring and patient individual to provide companionship and support to a young man with Autism and anxiety.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be trustworthy, and reliable. A driver with a full clean licence is required.

This is a part-time position for 6 hours per week initially (support is required for two afternoons – weekdays) with an estimated salary of £11.44 per hour. The role involves providing companionship, promoting independence, and sharing interests in woodwork, photography, and baking.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing emotional support and companionship to the service user.
  • Promoting independence and access to the community for social/leisure activities.
  • Sharing hobbies and interests with the service user.
  • Maintaining a calm, positive attitude and offering reassurance when needed.

No personal care is involved. The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
