Job Overview

About the Role

The Finance Director will report directly to the MDMC Manager and Director and work closely with the MDMC Project Manager to deliver the required reporting to Scottish Enterprise. This includes timely reconciliation, preparation, and submission of claims, invoices, and financial reporting to funders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and control all aspects of the financial administration, reporting, and claims of the MDMC.
  • Ensure timely reconciliation, preparation, and submission of claims, invoices, and financial reporting to funders.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records for audit purposes.
  • Provision and interpretation of financial reporting for the MDMC Management Team and the Executive Group.
Requirements

We are looking for an experienced finance professional with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a research environment. Previous experience of working within financial management within a research environment and using Oracle Fusion or similar accounting software is essential.

Benefits

The salary for this role is £36,924 - £46,485 per annum (pro-rata). In addition to this, you will receive a range of benefits including holiday entitlement, pension scheme, and flexible working options.
