Benefits Administrator

**Job Summary:**
">We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Benefits Officer to join our team in Lancaster. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of benefits and council tax, with an eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Process benefit claims accurately and pay promptly.
- Administer correspondence relating to council tax billing, including registration, changes of occupation, discounts, and exemptions.
- Communicate with customers, their representatives, and other organisations on matters concerning the assessment of entitlement to benefit.
- Verify all information given by customers and/or obtained from other sources, in accordance with locally set standards of verification.
**Requirements:**
- A working knowledge of benefits and council tax.
- An eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and administrative skills.
**What We Offer:**
- A competitive salary of approximately £30,000 - £40,000 per annum.
- Hybrid working arrangements available.
