British Sign Language Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled British Sign Language teaching assistant to join our team at Remedy Education. The successful candidate will provide essential support to pupils with hearing impairments in a mainstream Primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Establish a strong rapport with the pupil and provide a supportive environment for learning.
  2. Collaborate with the teacher to set and achieve learning targets.
  3. Offer general support to the pupil, including assistance with daily tasks and activities.
  4. Work closely with the teaching staff to ensure the pupil receives the necessary support.
  5. Previous experience supporting pupils with hearing impairments is essential.
  6. Ideal candidates will have a Level 1 qualification in British Sign Language.
