Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil and Structural Engineer to join our team at CV Library. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing civil and structural engineering solutions for a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Access Platforms, Ladders and Stairs: Design and develop safe and efficient access solutions for construction sites.
  2. Blast Fire Protection Design: Develop blast fire protection designs to ensure the safety of people and assets.
  3. Connection Design, Bolted and Welded: Design and develop connections for structural elements to ensure stability and safety.
  4. Design of Foundations: Design and develop foundation systems for buildings and structures.
  5. Fatigue Design: Analyze and design structural elements to withstand fatigue and stress.
  6. Framed Structures: Design and develop framed structures for buildings and other applications.
  7. Geotechnical Design / Piling / Retaining Walls: Design and develop geotechnical solutions for foundations and retaining walls.
  8. Hoisting and Lifting Equipment: Design and develop hoisting and lifting equipment for construction sites.
  9. Reinforced Concrete Design EC2 / BS8110: Design and develop reinforced concrete structures to meet EC2 and BS8110 standards.
  10. Seismic Design: Design and develop structures to withstand seismic activity.
  11. Steelwork Design to BS5950 / EC3: Design and develop steel structures to meet BS5950 and EC3 standards.
  12. Structural Supports Pipe and Equipment: Design and develop structural supports for pipes and equipment.
  13. Temporary Works (Civil) Shoring / Excavations: Design and develop temporary works for civil engineering projects.
  14. Temporary Works (Structural), e.g. Propping: Design and develop temporary works for structural engineering projects.
  15. Underground Drainage Design: Design and develop underground drainage systems.
  16. Wind Loading Assessment: Analyze and design structures to withstand wind loading.
Requirements:
  1. A minimum of a degree or master's degree in a related field.
  2. Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D / 3D and Navisworks.
  3. Experience with design software such as Tekla TEDDS.
  4. Experience with analysis software such as ROBOT / STAAP Pro / IDEA StatiCa.
