Job Summary:

Remedy Social Work is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead our Family and Friends Assessment and Support Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the viability and full assessment and support of friends and family members prior to approval as kinship foster carers or special guardians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exemplary leadership, management, and professional guidance to a team of social workers who manage a workload of friends and family (connected persons) assessments and support.
  • Adhere to clearly defined timescales set by the courts and work in accordance with the Fostering National Minimum Standards, Fostering Regulations 2011, Care Planning and Case Review Regulations 2013, and Special Guardianship Regulations 2005.
  • Ensure the delivery of preparation training to carers and ensure the timely presentation of assessments to the Fostering Panel and when required to the courts.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve high-quality outcomes for children and families.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in a social work setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
