Housing Standards Inspector

We are seeking an experienced Housing Standards Inspector to conduct thorough property inspections and enforce regulations related to housing standards in a local authority setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Property Inspections: Conduct inspections of properties to identify potential hazards and risks to occupant health and safety, ensuring compliance with the Housing Act 2004.
- Enforcement Actions: Take necessary enforcement actions on Category 1 & 2 hazards in line with the Housing Act 2004.
- HMO Inspections: Conduct inspections of Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs) to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Recent previous experience conducting HHSRS inspections within a local authority setting.
- An in-depth understanding of the Housing Act 2004 and related legislation.
- Strong analytical skills to effectively identify and address housing standards issues.
A competitive hourly rate of £42 for this contract, with the opportunity to work remotely 2-3 days per week and on-site 1-2 days per week.

Rate: £42/hour
Contract Length: 6 Months +
Working Hours: 37 hours/week
