About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Staff Nurse Outpatient to join our team at The Westbourne Centre in Birmingham.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Outpatient Manager and team in delivering exceptional clinical care to our surgical patients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist in the rostering of staff to ensure efficient use of staff hours within the outpatient department
  • Participate in clinical governance, ensuring audits undertaken, investigation of incidents/complaints
  • Act as a role model ensuring the highest levels of professional standards in patient care
  • Liaise with maintenance department to ensure service dates for all outpatients equipment are adhered to
  • Work closely with business development and marketing personnel to ensure effective usage of promotional materials within waiting areas and consulting rooms

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A strong clinical background within a hospital setting
  • Significant exposure in a senior staff nurse role to external stakeholders such as consultants, physicians, allied health professionals, patients and suppliers
  • An interest in IPC and prepared to lead
  • Professional Registration with the NMC/HCPC
  • Competent in the deployment of resources needed to sustain agreed activity levels
