About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Catering Assistant to join our team at Priory Group. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth running of our kitchen, ensuring that meals are provided to the highest standards for our service users.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the cook in developing a balanced menu that meets the needs of our service users.
- Assist with the preparation of meals, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Ensure that all kitchen documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner, meeting environmental health standards.
- Conduct regular checks of the kitchen to ensure that hygiene practices are maintained to the highest standards.
- Contribute to creating a homely and welcoming environment for our service users.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and daytime shifts.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic food safety and hygiene knowledge.
