Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Specialist to join their team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing clinical excellence in the care of patients with heart failure, working strategically with senior colleagues across the health community to ensure delivery of NICE Quality Standards in Acute Heart Failure (2015) and Chronic Heart Failure (2018).

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work autonomously and alongside a multidisciplinary heart failure team at NUH, liaising with Community heart failure teams in support of quality care across both Primary and Secondary Care.

The ideal candidate will have cardiology experience at Band 6 - 7, excellent organisational and leadership skills, and a strong ability to lead and motivate change in practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing both consultant and nurse-led heart failure clinics, ward outreach, and day case heart failure unit duties on a rotational basis across Queen's Medical Centre and City Hospital campuses.
  • Assisting in the continued development and improvement of services for patients with heart failure.
Person Specification

Evidence of experience in Cardiology nursing is essential. A completed or presently undertaken Master's degree and non-medical prescribing are desirable.

An estimated salary of £40,000-£55,000 per annum is offered based on location and experience.
