We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our client school in Manchester, where you will support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Job Description:

This role involves providing individualised support to students with SEMH needs, promoting social, emotional, and academic growth. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people who exhibit challenging behaviour, and be able to provide academic assistance in Maths, English, and Science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with SEMH needs, promoting social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to develop and implement behaviour management strategies.
  • Assist with tracking and reporting student progress, using data to inform future support plans.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in a secondary school or youth work setting, with a focus on SEMH support.
  • Proven ability to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour effectively.
  • A valid DBS registered on the update service is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with school staff and external agencies.
Estimated Salary:

£30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
