Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Employee Relations Advisor to join our team at Finning International. As a key member of our HR function, you will play a pivotal role in managing complex employee relations matters and ensuring fairness and consistency in line with our People policies and employment legislation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and guidance to employees and leaders on employee relations matters, including investigations, suspensions, disciplinaries, grievances, appeals, performance issues, and absence management.

• Manage complex issues from end to end with minimal supervision, informing leaders of any risk and advising them on the best approach.

• Identify opportunities to improve and develop policies and procedures in line with employment law changes and best practices.

• Support People Business Partners to execute people plans that support business objectives and priorities, such as organizational structure changes, changes in headcount requirements, tackling performance issues, and improving employee experience.

• Work closely with the internal legal team to respond to Data Subject Access Requests and ensure all requests are dealt with confidentially and in accordance with GDPR Regulations.

Requirements

• Comprehensive understanding of current employment law in the UK, including GDPR and IR35 Regulations.

• Strong investigation skills with the ability to seek additional information and think differently.

• Flexible and persistent to achieve the best possible results.

• Good understanding of current employment law in the Republic of Ireland (desirable).

• Experience using Workday HR Management system or equivalent (desirable).
