Lake District Pub Partnership Opportunity

Cockermouth, Cumbria, United Kingdom Marstons PLC Full time

The Belle Vue pub, situated just outside Cockermouth's centre in the picturesque Papcastle hamlet, offers an exciting partnership opportunity for experienced food operators. As a predominantly destination food site, this traditional village pub caters to both locals and visitors alike.

Inside and out, the pub boasts exceptional presentation, replete with character. However, it requires some light entertainment and a consistent own-food offering to reach its full potential. Familiarity with the local area would be advantageous in building relationships with walking, cycling, and dog-walking clubs.

We are open to adjusting the percentage of turnover shared with the new partner, contingent on a compelling business plan. The current average weekly revenue stands at £10,000, but with a regular food offering and entertainment, there is significant room for growth.

This role demands an individual who can effectively engage the local community while also marketing the business beyond the village to attract customers. If you're a skilled food operator seeking a new challenge, we encourage you to apply.

What's in it for you?

  • You'll receive 20% share of weekly wet sales (excluding VAT), with flexibility to adjust based on your proposed business plan.
  • Keep 100% of food sales.
  • Low initial investment, requiring only a £5,000 deposit and £360 legal costs (*deposit amounts may vary).
  • Accommodation is included, with most bills covered except for council tax and TV License.

Should you know someone suitable for this position, please let us know through our Refer a Friend scheme. If they successfully secure a spot in the pub, we'll reward you with £1,000 (Terms and conditions apply).
