Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Lounge. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for leading shifts, ensuring the kitchen runs effectively and safely, and upholding 5* kitchen standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead shifts and manage the kitchen team to deliver exceptional results
  • Ensure the kitchen is run efficiently and safely, with a focus on high-quality food and excellent customer service
  • Develop and implement kitchen standards and procedures to maintain consistency and quality
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and other kitchen team members to achieve business objectives
  • Recruit, train, and develop kitchen staff to ensure a high-performing team

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high-volume kitchen
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a focus on fresh ingredients and high-quality food
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of kitchen operations, including stock management, labor forecasting, and sales reporting
