Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and advise on current and new legislation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with external agencies, insurers, and internal stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and risk management.
- Develop and implement health and safety strategies to mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment.
- Investigate incidents, injuries, and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Lead and participate in regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement.
- Oversee Employer Liability Insurance Claims and provide statistical data to support asset improvement activities.
- Collaborate with Mill Leaders and other personnel to ensure a culture of safety and transparency.
About the Role
This EHS Leadership Role requires a minimum of a NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health (or equivalent) and relevant experience in EHS Leadership. Ideal candidates will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to drive change and promote a culture of safety and risk management.
