Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the teaching team in delivering the curriculum and meeting the needs of pupils with complex educational needs, communication difficulties, and challenging behaviors.
  • Work with small groups or one-to-one, depending on the needs of the pupils, to provide individualized support and guidance.
  • Assist with the pastoral care and behavior management of pupils, as well as supporting their social and emotional development.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
  • Experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs, especially Autism Spectrum Disorder, Social, Emotional and Mental Health, and Speech, Language and Communication Needs.
