About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Trials Assistant to join our Research Department at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Trials Assistant, you will provide administrative and clinical support to our research team, enabling the successful running of clinical trials in a healthcare setting.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide data management, administrative, and some clinical support for clinical trial activities according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and trust policies.
  • Support the clinical team in trial activities, including collecting trial data, completing data collection forms, and assisting in the set-up of new trials and ongoing management of existing trials.
  • Assist in workload management in both an administrative and clinical capacity.

Requirements

  • Literacy and numeracy level 2 or equivalent (GCSE A-C).
  • Demonstrate a good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent or above, or willing to work towards this award.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous administrative experience in a health or health and social care role.
  • Previous experience in a patient-facing role.
  • Evidence of working in a team.
