Tait Communications is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to support the delivery of the Public Safety Network (PSN). This is a significant project, building a modern, secure national digital Land Mobile Radio network for emergency services across New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including platform operating systems, database structure, and OSS tools.
- Develop a pan-business data structure for Operational tools and systems to support scalability.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of OSS tools and related systems.
- Ensure the availability, performance, and security of OSS tools and infrastructure.
- Monitor and troubleshoot systems issues.
- Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and updates to keep OSS tools current.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.
- 7+ years of systems administration experience.
- Expertise in various operating systems (Windows, Linux, UNIX, etc.).
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in developing scalable cross-platform database structures.
