Job Description:

We seek an experienced Project Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Security/Access Control department. This role involves managing project delivery, from initial mobilization to final snagging and handover. You will lead a dynamic team, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Duties:

  • Project Delivery: Manage all phases of project jobs from start to finish, including mobilization, daily operations, snagging, and completion.
  • Client Communication: Attend client meetings, delegate actions to team members, and report critical issues to senior management. Coordinate with Building Control as required.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical guidance to operatives and customers, with assistance from senior management and supervisors.
  • Team Supervision: Manage supervisors, engineers, and support staff, ensuring effective communication and project delivery.
  • Subcontractor Management: Allocate specialist subcontractors, ensuring compliance with client requirements, including DBS checks and RAMS verification.
  • Financial Administration: Monitor work-in-progress for invoicing, ensuring all variations are accurately recorded and billed.
  • Performance Evaluation: Track staff performance, attendance, and conduct appraisals. Ensure lessons learned from projects are documented and applied to future work.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

We are looking for a highly skilled and organized individual with strong financial knowledge and negotiation skills. You should have experience in project management within the security/access control industry, with a solid understanding of statutory requirements, health & safety regulations, and industry best practices. The ability to motivate a team and deliver exceptional customer care is crucial.

Necessary Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in project management within the security/access control industry.
  • Financial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • SMSTS qualification (or currently pursuing).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Projects (or currently developing).
  • Full UK driving licence.
