Job Summary

Microsoft is seeking a seasoned Security Program Manager to advance MSTIC's R&D programs, driving initiatives aimed at identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security threats to Microsoft and our customers. As a key member of the Microsoft Threat Intelligence engineering team, you will work directly with intelligence analysts to gather, curate, and prioritize the most important problems to solve on behalf of our researchers. Your expertise in security principles, threat intelligence, and security research methodologies will enable you to develop subject matter expertise in the workflows our analysts use to gain insights, publish content, etc. You will also partner with Engineering to drive a complete Product-team approach to solving problems, ensuring our engineers always know the 'what' and 'why' behind the work they do, and empower them to be part of the solution.

Responsibilities
  • Work directly with intelligence analysts from across Microsoft's research ecosystem to gather, curate, and prioritize the most important problems to solve on behalf of our researchers.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in the workflows our analysts use to gain insights, publish content, etc.
  • Deep expertise in security principles, with a focus on threat intelligence and security research methodologies.
  • Connect analyst workflows to AI opportunities.
  • Partner with Engineering to drive a complete Product-team approach to solving problems.
  • Ensure our engineers always know the 'what' and 'why' behind the work they do, and empower them to be part of the solution.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or an equivalent experience.
  • Substantial experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on security research and program management.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute research & development strategies that support product development objectives.
  • Experience with defining and tracking OKRs and KPIs to measure program performance.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Customer feedback and data driven.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, self-starter, 'getting things done' attitude.
