We are seeking a qualified and inspirational Mathematics Instructor to join our Secondary Schools across Kent.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Mathematics to KS3 and KS4 pupils, with KS5 being desirable. They will plan and deliver a broad, balanced, and relevant Mathematics curriculum tailored to meet the diverse needs of all students in line with the National Curriculum.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and dependable Early Career Teachers and experienced teachers looking for a new challenge.
Estimated SalaryThe salary for this position is approximately £160-£240 per hour, making it a competitive offer for mathematics educators.
Key Responsibilities- Teach Mathematics to KS3 and KS4 pupils (KS5 is desirable)
- Plan and deliver a broad, balanced and relevant Mathematics curriculum tailored to meet the diverse needs of all students in line with the National Curriculum
- Set high standards that inspire and motivate learners, ensuring they reach their potential
- Assess, record, and report on student progress while maintaining accurate records
- Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment following the school's behaviour policy
- Deploy any support staff effectively
- Take responsibility for improving teaching through appropriate professional development, responding to advice and feedback from colleagues
- Communicate effectively with parents and other professionals about pupils' achievements and well-being
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Right to work in the UK
- Satisfactory references covering the last 2 years
- Enhanced DBS Certificate (Child) on the Update Service or willing to pay and apply for a new one
- Experience teaching within an educational setting or similar
- Up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum
- Excellent Mathematics subject knowledge
- Good Literacy, Numeracy and IT skills
