About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Continuity Specialist to join our team at Thames Water. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the resilience and continuity of our business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain business continuity plans to mitigate risks and ensure seamless operations in the event of disruptions.
  • Build relationships with subject matter experts and internal teams to facilitate effective risk assessment, preparation, response, and recovery.
  • Create and deliver training and support materials to enhance business continuity awareness and skills.
  • Design and deliver testing and exercising programs to validate business continuity plans and ensure their effectiveness.
  • Continuously improve business continuity practices to achieve excellent internal audit reviews and maintain senior leadership confidence in the program's soundness and fitness for purpose.
  • Support the wider team in delivering crisis management, emerging risk, and other relevant tasks.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of business continuity concepts and principles.
  • Ability to create and deliver training materials and presentations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Business continuity qualification or working towards one.
  • Ability to design and deliver tests and exercises to ensure plans are fit for purpose.
  • Experience in delivering business continuity programs.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary of up to £55,000 per annum depending on experience.
  • Annual leave - 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with length of service. (Plus bank holidays)
