Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Application Support Specialist to join our team at Bethnal. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our internal end users for our critical software applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with our software applications, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  2. Support Application Life Cycle: Assist with the implementation, configuration, and ongoing support of new and existing applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of service.
  3. Collaborate with Stakeholders: Liaise with the wider team, as well as 3rd parties and suppliers, for incident management and effective communication.
  4. Document and Communicate: Contribute to the creation, review, and update of support documentation, and communicate with customers regarding incident status and escalated tickets.
  5. Vendor Management: Effectively manage vendors and suppliers to ensure seamless support and service delivery.

Requirements:

  1. Technical Expertise: Minimum 1 year of experience providing technical support on business-critical applications in a demanding environment.
  2. Communication Skills: Ability to select the appropriate communication method for the task, and strong written and verbal skills.
  3. ITIL Knowledge: Knowledge of ITIL and service management methodologies, particularly Incident Management & Problem Management.
  4. Remote Support: Experience of Remote Assistance/Support.
  5. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think laterally and challenge the status quo.
  6. Documentation Skills: Ability to document processes and procedures in a clear, concise, and logical manner.
