About the Opportunity:

The International Society for Bayesian Analysis is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Bayesian Methods to join our team. As a Senior Research Analyst - Epidemiology, you will be responsible for designing and conducting epidemiological studies to estimate sources of transmission with phylogenetics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement epidemiological studies using Bayesian methods
  • Collaborate with public health partners to develop and implement study protocols
  • Analyze and interpret large datasets using advanced statistical methods
  • Publish research findings in top-tier scientific journals

Requirements:

  • PhD in statistics, mathematics, physics, evolutionary biology, epidemiology, computer science, or a closely related discipline
  • Excellent programming skills in R, UNIX, text processing, and data handling
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to travel and spend time in Seattle as part of the project
