Job Overview
The Clinical Lead will work closely with the nursing team to maintain high standards of clinical care and governance. They will ensure residents receive excellent care, meet their needs through effective nursing and clinical delivery, and actively contribute to all clinical operations.

About the Role
This is a challenging role where you will use your professional judgment to make clinical decisions, manage projects, and evolve care levels to meet residents' needs. You will provide effective leadership on clinical excellence, including training and competencies, and have a good knowledge of CQC guidelines. As part of the on-call service, you will assist with clinically related matters and complete floor shifts as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the nursing team in maintaining high standards of clinical care and governance.
  • Make clinical decisions, manage projects, and evolve care levels to meet residents' needs.
  • Provide effective leadership on clinical excellence, including training and competencies.
  • Assist with clinically related matters as part of the on-call service.
  • Complete floor shifts as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, family, other professionals, and interested parties to enhance the quality of care delivered.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong clinical skills and confidence to lead the nursing team.
  • Prior management experience or experience leading a small team.
  • Ability to make clinical decisions and remain calm under pressure.
  • A passion for promoting best nursing practice and able to train, support, and mentor others.
  • Desire to encourage positive working relationships within the team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of audits, safeguarding, DOLS, CQC, and compliance.
