We are seeking an Aspiring School-Based SEN Psychologist to join our team in Enfield. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in pursuing a career in Educational Psychology or SEN support and will be able to work effectively with children, teachers, and external professionals to provide holistic support.
Responsibilities:- Work collaboratively with SEN staff and teachers to support students with special educational needs.
- Assist in identifying students who may require additional psychological support and develop strategies to improve their emotional, social, and academic outcomes.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to monitor student progress and adjust plans accordingly.
- Provide one-on-one and group support sessions to students facing emotional, behavioral, or learning challenges.
- Support the creation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral management strategies.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of SEN programs.
- Work closely with external specialists, parents, and guardians to ensure the holistic support of each student.
- A strong interest in pursuing a career in Educational Psychology or SEN support.
- Relevant qualifications in psychology, education, or a related field.
- Experience working with children, preferably in a school or SEN setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient approach.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability.
- Commitment to professional growth and development.
- Valid DBS and right to work document.
This role requires a comprehensive understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures. Successful applicants must undergo background safer recruitment checks.
