Industry Placements: Manufacturing Optimisation Engineer
Job Overview:
A 13-month placement opportunity is available in our Body In White team at MINI Plant Oxford. We are seeking a confident and eager-to-learn individual to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative improvements in performance, quality, and efficiency.

In this role, you will be responsible for analysing production systems to identify faults and providing feasible solutions. You will manage the end-to-end process from fault identification to solution implementation, supporting the integration of new models and engineering changes. Your skills developed in academic studies will be utilized to complete research, analysis, and benchmarking to investigate potential process improvements, aiming to enhance the quality and efficiency of our engineering processes.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Analysing production systems to identify faults and provide feasible solutions.
  • Supporting the integration of new models and engineering changes.
  • Conducting research, analysis, and benchmarking to investigate potential process improvements.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of manufacturing principles and practices. A degree in Engineering or a related field, with a minimum 2:2 classification, is required. Excellent skills in Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel, are essential.

We offer a competitive annual salary of £23,650, 26 days' holiday per annum (pro rata to your contract), and an attractive pension scheme. Contracted working hours are 37 hours per week, with a half day on a Friday, allowing for a fulfilling work-life balance.
