Job Summary
Linum Consult is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to join their team in the West Midlands. As a key member of the company's project management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective delivery of projects from initial pre-contract award to construction-phase delivery and handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate project activities to ensure timely and within-budget delivery
- Lead and motivate site teams, including site supervisors and engineers, to achieve project goals
- Collaborate with contracts and operations managers to plan, manage, and deliver project tasks and outcomes
- Review and validate project plans and drawings to ensure accuracy and buildability
- Engage and manage subcontractors to ensure safe systems of work are in place and complied with
- Monitor and control project costs, including budgeting, forecasting, and payment of invoices
- Ensure safety is managed to company and legal standards across all projects
Requirements
- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent in a relevant construction discipline
- Professional Health & Safety qualification (CSCS Black card & SMSTS minimum)
- 12 years' post-graduation experience in the operational management of civil engineering projects gained from a Tier 2 contracting environment
- Experience with project planning software
- Experience in structural inspections, bridge repairs & strengthening is essential
- The right to live and work in the UK
