Job Title: Head of Conveyancing and Legal Practice

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Conveyancer to join our team as Head of Conveyancing and Legal Practice. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of residential conveyancing, including sales, purchases, re-mortgaging, and property finance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Conveyancers and ensure the smooth operation of our conveyancing department.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, agents, and other stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service and reputation.
  • Conduct all conveyancing procedures, including sales, purchases, transfers, and re-mortgaging.
  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, solicitors, and other parties involved in the conveyancing process.
  • Prepare and review contracts, leasehold documents, and other legal documents.
  • Ensure all transactions comply with regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Implement, monitor, and review compliance processes and systems, including GDPR, AML, and practice-wide policies.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of PQE conveyancing experience (CLC, CILEX, or Solicitor).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload and work to deadlines.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Commitment to providing outstanding client service.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to inspire and lead a team effectively.
  • Proven track record of overseeing compliance processes.
