Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding role for a skilled and experienced nurse to lead a nurse-led catheter clinic for patients with long-term urethral/suprapubic urinary catheters. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and leading the clinic, ensuring high-quality, safe, and effective clinical care for patients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the Nurse-Led Catheter Clinic
  2. Assess Patient Needs and Develop Care Plans
  3. Provide Education and Support to Patients
  4. Triaging Urgent Calls and Arranging Home Visits
  5. Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals to Ensure Seamless Care
  6. Maintain Accurate and Contemporaneous Records
  7. Participate in Clinical Meetings and Case Conferences
  8. Undertake Other Reasonable Duties as Required
Requirements
  • First-Level Registered Nurse with Current Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council
  • Physical Clinical Assessment Skills Course
  • Practice Educator or Other Teaching Qualification or Equivalent Experience
  • Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP)
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Urology Nursing (Desirable)
  • Management Training or Equivalent Experience (Desirable)
