Job Summary

Hays Accountancy and Finance is seeking an experienced Tax Senior with advisory expertise to join our team. As a Tax Senior, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, providing technical expertise, and working closely with the tax team to deliver high-quality services.

About the Role

  • Manage a portfolio of clients, providing technical expertise and advisory services as needed.
  • Work closely with the tax team to deliver high-quality services, including complex compliance cases.
  • Assist in the management of the Private Client Portfolio, working with a varied client base, including HNWI, OMBs, Trusts, and Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax exposure.
  • Be responsible for onboarding new clients and participating in client meetings.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement tax strategies, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, applying this knowledge to provide expert advice to clients.

Requirements

  • Qualified tax professional, ATT, CTA, STEP, or ACA qualified, with experience in a Private Client team in practice.
  • Technical knowledge of dealing with complex compliance cases, including Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax.
  • Advisory experience, or a willingness to gain advisory experience with appropriate mentoring.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
