About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Systems Engineer to join our Industrial Refrigeration team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering project solutions, maintenance, and service solutions that support our customers' manufacturing, cold storage, and R&D testing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for industrial refrigeration/chiller systems, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to defined processes and customer needs.
  • Carry out system PPM (Predictive Maintenance) as per contract requirements, communicating findings and recommendations for system improvement, upgrades, or optimizations.
  • Prepare detailed reports and technical communications on work carried out, submitting to the Service Coordinator and clients as required.
  • Ensure health and safety protocols are followed at all times, working independently with occasional support from the mobile team.

Requirements

  • Relevant refrigeration qualification (e.g., C&G) and F-GAS 2079 card.
  • Experience working with HFC, Ammonia, and Co2 systems, as well as major manufacturers like SABROE, Frick, York, Bitzer, and Howden.
  • Electrical and controls experience to identify and rectify electrical and control issues.
  • Ability to analyze technical documents, work without documented procedures, and integrate with the team.
  • Full UK driving license.
