Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working in a 1:1 capacity with a SEMH pupil in Year 5, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a SEMH pupil in Year 5
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to meet the pupil's needs
  • Assist the pupil with their academic and personal development
  • Work closely with the pupil's teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to their education
  • Monitor and record the pupil's progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness
  • Communicate effectively with the pupil, their parents, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach to their education

Requirements:

  • Experience working with SEMH pupils
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Knowledge of SEN/SEMH and pastoral care
  • Behavioural management skills
