Job Title: Band 5/6 Locum Occupational Therapist

Atlantis Medical is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 5/6 Locum Occupational Therapist to join our team in London. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to stroke patients across different stages of their recovery.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Participate in 7-day services with scheduled rest days.
  • Deliver occupational therapy services to stroke patients, applying clinical reasoning and evidence-based practices.
  • Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Clinical Expertise:
  • Apply clinical reasoning and evidence-based practices to assess and treat patients.
  • Utilize therapy adjuncts relevant to neuro-OT, including wheelchair prescription and cognitive assessments.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT)
  • Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration
  • Postgraduate courses specific to neurology
  • Membership in Specialist Society of Neuro-Physiotherapists (SSNP)
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience at Band 5 level, including neuro-OT experience
  • NHS experience
  • Experience with therapy adjuncts for neuro-OT
  • Experience in clinical audit
  • Experience in taking students or teaching roles
Skills and Attributes:
  • High standard of communication within MDT settings
  • Evidence of clinical reasoning and effective treatment planning
  • Experience as a clinical educator or in teaching roles
