The Opportunity: Drainage Maintenance Operative
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Drainage Maintenance Operative to join our Highway Maintenance team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and safety of Swindon's road network, as we prepare for significant growth and development.
Your Responsibilities:
- Carry out a wide range of drainage maintenance tasks across the borough.
- Work effectively in all weather conditions to maintain essential infrastructure.
- Respond to emergency situations and participate in our Winter Service Programme, ensuring public safety during adverse weather.
- Potentially work overtime as required to meet operational demands.
Essential Requirements:
- A valid driving licence is essential for this role.
- Fluency in English is required due to the customer-facing nature of this position.
