Job Summary

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Acute Stroke Therapy Team. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in assessing and designing interventions to manage altered cognition, supporting patients' psychological well-being, and addressing changes in physical abilities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of patients with varying diagnoses and complex needs, using evidence-based practice and client-centered principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions.
  • Support the learning and development of students and staff, contributing to the team's knowledge and skills.
  • Participate in 7-day working patterns as required, ensuring seamless care delivery.

Key Requirements
  • Professional, legally responsible, and accountable for all aspects of work and activities, managing clinical risk within the clinical caseload.
  • Carry a clinical caseload of highly complex patients, providing advanced therapeutic assessment and evaluation, and detailed written treatment plans with patient-centered goals.
  • Work as an autonomous practitioner and member of the multidisciplinary team, contributing to team discussions and influencing decisions about patient care programs.
