MLK Education Search is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Support Specialist to join our team at a specialist school that supports young girls with various needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement attendance strategies to improve pupil engagement and attendance.
- Work closely with teachers and teaching assistants to identify and support pupils with pastoral and behavioural needs.
- Provide individualised support to pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
- Liaise with outside agencies to develop and implement Educational, Health and Care Plans and Additional Needs Plans.
- Monitor pupil learning and behaviour, providing feedback to relevant staff on the effectiveness of behaviour strategies.
Requirements:
- GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Relevant training in attendance strategies or a commitment to undergo training after probationary period.
- Strong experience of planning, managing, and implementing attendance strategies within a school setting.
- Experience identifying interventions to raise attendance of pupils.
- Experience of planning and monitoring progress of individual/small groups.
- Experience working directly with pupils and parents.
- Experience analysing data and producing reports and identifying key insights.
