Pastoral Lead Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pastoral Lead to join our team at a vibrant and progressive secondary school in South West London. As a Pastoral Lead, you will be responsible for providing pastoral support across a year group, monitoring student attendance, lateness, and behaviours, and liaising with the safeguarding team and SLT to identify any safeguarding concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing pastoral support across your designated year group
- Monitoring student attendance, lateness, and behaviours
- Liaising with the safeguarding team and SLT to identify any safeguarding concerns
- Delivering 1-2-1 interventions for students who have struggled to engage
- Providing on-call support for teaching staff to help manage behaviours
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting
- Excellent communication, de-escalation, and behaviour management skills
