Coffee Shop Operations Manager

FCB Coffee is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Coffee Shop Manager to lead our team at Blackfriars station.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and self-motivated individual who has a passion for the coffee business and a strong background in the speciality coffee industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the overall operation of the shop, including maintenance, staffing, financial performance, stock levels, and deliveries. They will also work closely with our management team to ensure that the passion for our brand and the delivery of our services are instilled in all new and existing staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operation of the shop, including maintenance, staffing, and financial performance.
  • Work with the management team to ensure brand consistency and quality of service.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and maintain strong brand awareness.
  • Maintain high standards in all aspects of the operation, including presentation, cleanliness, health and safety compliance, and quality control.
  • Help implement new products, menus, and pricing policies.
  • Deal with purchase orders, stock deliveries, and quality control of all products being sold at the shop.
  • Communicate regularly with Head Office on takings, days trading, staffing issues, and other relevant matters.

Requirements:

  • Supervisory or management experience in the speciality coffee industry.
  • Exceptional people, customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong financial acumen, including cost control, waste reduction, and budget planning.
  • An outgoing personality and positive outlook.
  • A hands-on approach.
  • A strong desire to succeed.
  • A genuine passion to lead and inspire the team, and achieve excellent results.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Passion to deliver the highest levels of customer service.
  • Quality and sales-driven approach.
  • Good knowledge of the UK coffee scene.
  • Speciality coffee background.
  • Great barista skills.
