Schroders' Pension Administration Team Lead

This leadership opportunity offers an experienced professional the chance to guide a team of Administrators and Senior Administrators in delivering top-notch pension administration services. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, in-depth knowledge of pension products and processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities
  • Manage a team of Administrators and Senior Administrators, promoting their growth and ensuring they meet company expectations.
  • Develop and implement operational procedures, controls, and best practices to enhance efficiency, mitigate risks, and improve overall effectiveness.
  • Authorise transactions from Client Money Deposit Accounts.
  • Collaborate with other team managers to provide high-quality service delivery across Pension and Platform teams.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to streamline processes, enhance scalability, and reduce manual interventions.
  • Provide accurate Management Information to senior management, highlighting team performance, key metrics, and operational issues.
  • Participate actively in all management meetings and represent the Pensions department in relevant meetings.
  • Hold regular check-ins with team members, set goals, and drive for high performance.
  • Attend service calls with financial adviser firms, third-party users, and suppliers as necessary.
Requirements
  • Extensive SIPP knowledge and technical expertise in DB and DC schemes.
  • Strong leadership skills, including effective time management, prioritisation, and delegation.
  • Comprehensive pensions experience at supervisory level.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Pension legislation knowledge and understanding of applicable HMRC, FCA, and TPR regulations.
  • CF1 and FA2 certifications.
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritise work.
Compensation Package

The estimated annual salary for this role is $100,000, with potential for bonuses based on company performance.
