About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Trauma-Based Learning Programmes Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will design and deliver trauma-based learning programmes for students, providing individualised support to those who have experienced trauma.

The role requires collaboration with other stakeholders to create a trauma-informed learning environment that promotes emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programme Design and Delivery: Develop and implement trauma-based learning programmes that cater to the needs of students who have experienced trauma.
  • Individualised Support: Provide tailored support to students, acknowledging their unique experiences and challenges.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with stakeholders to ensure a seamless delivery of trauma-informed teaching practices.
  • Progress Monitoring and Assessment: Regularly monitor and assess student progress, making adjustments to teaching methods as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Emotional Well-being: Offer guidance and counselling to support students' emotional well-being, promoting a safe and nurturing learning environment.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Hold a recognised teaching qualification and possess experience working with students who have experienced trauma.
  • Understanding of Trauma-Informed Teaching: Demonstrate an understanding of trauma-informed teaching practices and their application in a learning environment.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Patience and Empathy: Display strong empathy and patience when working with students who have experienced trauma.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly rate for this position is up to £30 per hour. Additionally, we offer flexible working arrangements, improved work-life balance, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, child protection and prevent duty training, and a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
