Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Tooling Engineer to join our team at Leonardo Helicopters in Yeovil. As a Tooling Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing tooling solutions to support the manufacture of advanced composite rotor blades and rotor head components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop tooling solutions for composite rotor blades and rotor head components
  • Collaborate with design, supply, and operational teams to ensure effective and efficient specification and development of components
  • Prepare specifications, procure products or services, and provide technical support to the Production area
  • Participate in research and development programmes to introduce new product and process development
  • Provide tooling technical support to the business in its goal for non-conformance elimination

Requirements:

  • Educated to Degree, HND, or HNC in a Mechanical, Material, Production, or Aeronautical discipline
  • A sound knowledge of composite component tool design and/or composite component manufacture
  • A sound understanding of Manufacturing Technology and/or knowledge of the working area
  • High level of working knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering functions
  • CATIA Specific Experience V5 (4000hrs plus)
