Job Title: Business Development Manager, Europe

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting High Priority Project Opportunities (HIPPOs) and implementing pursuit best practice.

This role will work closely with delivery and supporting teams to further develop the HIPPO process and help European Partners on larger opportunities. A high level of direct interaction is expected with Partners, managers, and consultants within the region, as well as all other support functions.

The ideal candidate will have experience in business development, pursuits, and bid management, preferably in a professional services/consultancy environment. They should also have experience leading bids of $2m+ and a deep understanding of what makes a successful pursuit process.

Responsibilities
  • SUPPORT OPPORTUNITY IDENTIFICATION - Work with firm leadership to identify opportunities that need assistance and tailor BD support packages based on requirements.
  • PRE-RFP OPPORTUNITY MANAGEMENT - Support client teams to create and implement pre-RFP engagement strategies.
  • QUALIFICATION - Challenge client teams on qualification, including deciding whether to bid and the type of bid to submit.
  • BID TEAM SUPPORT - Provide insights on best practice, challenge thinking, and ensure a focus on client needs through key messages.
  • COMMERCIAL SUPPORT - Build and challenge competitive and sustainable commercial models, share best practice on commercial levers, and negotiate complex deals with clients.
  • AFTER ACTION REVIEWS - Conduct reviews to understand why we win or lose opportunities and feed this back to the business for improvement.

Salary: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum
