About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Academic Support Specialist to join our Additional Learning Support team at West Herts College. As a key member of the team, you will provide essential support to learners with a wide range of learning difficulties or disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support learners in the classroom and assist teaching staff to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Participate in out-of-class intervention sessions, both online and in person, to ensure learners receive the support they need.
- Develop and implement individual support strategies plans in collaboration with curriculum-based colleagues.
- Maintain accurate records of learner progress and support provided.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to engage with diverse learners, and a proactive, learner-focused approach. Ideally, you will be educated to at least Level 3 and have experience working with 16- to 19-year-olds and/or adults with learning difficulties and disabilities.
