Higher-Level Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join our KS2 team at a vibrant and well-respected Primary School in Hayes.
Job Purpose:To assist teaching staff in fostering the development and education of pupils, including those with diverse special needs.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:- Actively participate in planned educational activities and work programs.
- Support the personal and individual development of students or small groups.
- Supervise the activities of individuals or groups of pupils.
- Ensure the safety of all students.
- Help the class teacher manage challenging behaviour in accordance with the school's Behaviour Policy.
- Promptly report any safeguarding concerns to your line manager or designated safeguarding officer.
- Assist in preparing classroom resources as requested by the class lead.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in classrooms and associated areas.
- Attend training sessions provided by the school.
- Support the class teacher in communicating with parents and families.
- Organize necessary documentation and forms for class activities.
- Optionally lead the class when the teacher is unavailable.
- Take responsibility for identifying and pursuing appropriate continuing professional development (CPD) to enhance knowledge and improve practice.
- Pursue any relevant accredited qualifications.
- Participate in the Trust's performance management program.
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or other relevant qualification.
- A Bachelor's degree.
- Prior experience working within a classroom.
