Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Housing Interventions Worker to join our team in Cardiff on a temporary contract.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with individuals leaving custody, providing housing-focused interventions to prevent homelessness and improve housing options. As a Housing Interventions Worker, you will be responsible for delivering 1-2-1 housing advice and interventions, completing comprehensive housing needs assessments, and developing structured action plans to achieve individual and team targets.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable populations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and service users.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Delivering housing advice and interventions to men in custody
  2. Completing housing needs assessments and developing action plans
  3. Working with Camau service objectives to deliver housing interventions that prevent homelessness
  4. Liaising with landlords and accommodation providers
Requirements

We are looking for someone who is passionate about reducing reoffending and improving housing outcomes for individuals leaving custody. The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
What We Offer

We offer a competitive hourly rate of £20 via Umbrella, paid weekly. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for professional development and growth.
