HSE Specialist

Contract Scotland is recruiting an experienced HSE Specialist - Highway Projects to join their team permanently. This role will involve working on highway projects in North Lanarkshire.

This is a unique opportunity for a skilled HSE professional to work on high-profile highway projects in North Lanarkshire. As an HSE Specialist, you will be responsible for leading by example and promoting a strong culture of health, safety, environmental, and quality awareness among leadership teams.

• Promote best practices across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with HSE standards.
• Provide expert advice on legislative updates and best practice policies, supported by accurate reporting and data.

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in highway or groundwork project environments. Previous experience in a health and safety advisory role is required.

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

• Hold a NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate (additional environmental or auditing qualifications desirable).
• Be CSCS certified.
• Have a valid full UK driving licence.
