Job Title: Senior Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating occupational therapy interventions for adults with mental health needs. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and deliver individualized treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based practices and client-centered principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' occupational needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Deliver individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing graded activity to achieve therapeutic goals.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Manage a clinical caseload, prioritizing tasks and allocating resources efficiently.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of occupational therapy services.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
  • Post-preceptorship experience and extensive clinical experience in individual and group work.
  • Supervision giving and receiving experience.
  • Knowledge of the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO) and experience of occupational therapy assessments and interventions with adults with mental health needs.
