**Role Overview**

Protocol Education is seeking a Support Specialist to join their SEND provision in Hornchurch, providing care and support to students with Social/Emotional/Mental Health needs.

**Job Description:**

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to ensure the physical, therapeutic, emotional, and social needs of each child are met
  • Assist in daily activities such as meals, recreational activities, and educational programs
  • Maintain accurate records of each child's progress, behavior, and any incidents that occur
  • Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other professionals involved in the child's care

**Key Requirements:**

  • Relevant qualifications and training in special education or social care
  • Experience working with vulnerable children or adults
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to de-escalate challenging behaviors and work effectively in a team environment
